From bake sales to raffles (and the unforgettable “Pie Your Boss” event), a variety of engaging activities were organised throughout the year.
Charity Champion, Christine Doherty (pictured right alongside LWWC CEO & Founder, Maureen Elliott) was responsible for organising activities and galvanising the participation of each team, and her tremendous efforts were instrumental to the success of these events.
Live Well with Cancer aims to improve the quality of life for people affected by cancer. The donations raised by Kingston will go towards essential counselling sessions for their service users.
Paul Carter, Kingston Managing Director, said: “We have raised an amazing amount for a fantastic cause, and we should all be extremely proud of this achievement. A huge well done to Christine, for her incredible dedication and effort in organising last year’s fundraising activities and thank you to everyone who participated in these events and donated.”
Each year nominated charities are put to the vote so colleagues can decide who to support. Kingston’s 2025 Charity Partner will be Diabetes UK.
A team of Kingston volunteers took to the starting line for The Sunshine Run 5K on Wednesday 18 June, joining hundreds of others along Newcastle’s scenic Quayside to raise funds for a fantastic cause.
