From Customer Advisor to Assistant Director, Cheryl celebrates 20 years at Kingston Open Spaces.

Kingston is proud to celebrate an incredible milestone as Cheryl Cessford, Assistant Director, Open Spaces, marks 20 years with the organisation.

Over the past two decades, Cheryl has played a vital role in the evolution of the business, now overseeing Open Spaces’ Estate Management operation and supporting teams to deliver high-quality services across a growing portfolio.

Cheryl’s journey began in 2006, joining Kingston – then Cheviot Housing – as a Customer Advisor. From there, Cheryl progressed into a Property Manager role, where she spent eight years developing industry expertise.

Her career then transitioned into the estates side of the business with Open Spaces, taking on the Team Leader position. In 2023, Cheryl progressed to Assistant Director, reflecting both her experience and continued contribution to the business.

A key part of Cheryl’s success has been her commitment to training and development. Cheryl has achieved Member Status with The Property Institute (TPI) and RoSPA playground inspection qualifications, supporting both personal growth and the delivery of high service standards.

Reflecting on her career, Cheryl said: “It’s a great company to work for and there are so many training and development opportunities. I’ve been able to improve my skills while progressing my career, and I would encourage anyone to learn as much as possible on the job.”

This 20-year milestone is a testament to Cheryl’s dedication, expertise, and leadership. Congratulations on an outstanding career journey and continued success with Open Spaces.
