| The Kingston Estates Team is celebrating new industry-leading qualification success which offers valuable safety knowledge to new and existing clients. The team of six employees has gained Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents accreditation allowing them to regularly inspect the safety of children’s playgrounds and play parks in the grounds of estates they manage. Amy Scott, Cheryl Cessford, Karen Cribbs, Kenneth Falcus, Paul Carter and Rebecca Longstaff, are all now accredited with the society’s Operational Inspections of Children’s Playgrounds certificate after passing a rigorous training course and exam. Paul, Kingston Assistant Director of Estates and Business Development, said: “The certificates allow the estates staff to carry out inspections of playgrounds as part of routine visits to our properties. “As we take on more estates the need to be able to inspect playgrounds and parks for our clients becomes more pressing. “It ranges from looking at swings and climbing frames and checking the wear and tear of components through to more complex play areas with pulleys and ropes. “Before we had our certification to carry out these inspections ourselves, they had to be performed by a third party. Now we can do this for our clients and save them that extra expense. “It made sense for us to be able to offer this service to our clients as part of our wide ranging services and we are delighted to have passed the exam together – it’s a real boost knowing that we have the industry’s top certification as another service to offer our clients.” The Kingston Estates Team manages a growing portfolio of unadopted areas in developments across the North East and Yorkshire as well as carrying out a host of other general management activities. |
