Colleagues from Bernicia and Kingston laced up their boots to take part in The Oasis Cup 2025, an annual mixed five-a-side tournament organised by Oasis Community Housing, a charity that provides life changing support to local people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
The event took place at Gateshead International Stadium on Friday 19 September 2025, bringing together nearly 150 players from local businesses for a competitive day of football that raised an incredible £12,500 for a fantastic charity cause.
Both Bernicia and Kingston entered teams made up of colleagues from across their business areas. Team Bernicia enjoyed a strong run in the competition, making it all the way to the semi-finals before bowing out with a heavy defeat to eventual winners, Amazon.
Team Kingston Open Spaces battled hard in their group games but unfortunately couldn’t make it through to the knockout stages.
Despite mixed fortunes on the pitch, both teams played with great spirit and showcased exceptional teamwork while helping raise vital funds for Oasis Community Housing.
