Kingston is proud to announce the successful completion of its first External Wall System (EWS) remediation project at 22 York Place in Leeds, an important milestone in Kingston’s commitment to building safety.

The five-storey development, comprising 24 apartments, has undergone a comprehensive programme of works to enhance the safety and compliance of the building. The project was professionally managed by CPM fire safety specialists, and Starfish Construction carried out the works on site.

The remediation works delivered significant building safety improvements, including the replacement of ACM cladding surrounding the lift shaft and timber cladding to the external and internal areas of the external wall with compliant, non-combustible materials. Additionally, cavity barriers were installed throughout the external wall system.

These important improvements will provide residents with greater peace of mind and confidence in the safety of the building and their homes.

Completion of the project reflects the collaborative efforts of everyone involved, from project planning through to delivery on site.

A special thank you goes to Stephen Stoker, Property Manager for 22 York Place, and Rachel Finney, Building Safety Compliance Manager, whose support and commitment helped drive the project to a successful outcome.
