Volunteers from Liberty Green celebrated Washington Village winning Gold in the ‘Best Village’ category at the Britain in Bloom UK finals.
Liberty Green, managed by Kingston, is a residential community within Washington and highly decorated in the Northumberland in Bloom contest, where Washington Village also won Best Village earlier this year.
Joan Atkinson, a Director of the Liberty Green Management Company and Chair of The Washington Village in Bloom Society, was awarded ‘Community Champion 2024’ for her outstanding contribution to the village.
The group was also awarded a Certificate of Achievement for ‘Exceptional Public Engagement – Arts and Culture’, to recognise the efforts of volunteers over the year to make the village so floral and colourful.
Congratulations from all at Kingston for these amazing achievements on the national and regional stages.
