An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) was installed at the request of residents at Beecholm Court, Sunderland.

Beecholm Court Residents Management Company funded the community defibrillator, which is fitted next to the car park and is accessible for residents and the local public in case of a cardiac emergency.

The defibrillator can be used by anyone and no training is required – just call 999 for an access code to open the unit, then switch it on and follow the instructions.

AEDdonate, an organisation that supports the placement of AEDs to local communities, provided the equipment and SecureTech Systems kindly installed the defibrillator for free.

Beecholm Court is a residential development for over 55s located in Ashbrooke, Sunderland, managed by Kingston. Residents have already expressed how reassuring it is to see the defibrillator in place and are pleased with how promptly the installation was organised.
